Ascension Lutheran Church offers some wonderful music during our services.  We have a lovely choir which is led by Alix Jenkins, our Choir Director.  She has also implemented the handbell ringers at Ascension which has been a beautiful asset to our services.  Alix is an accomplished piano and organ player as well as beautiful singer.  Sometimes Pastor Dave will grace with us his playing of the piano or even pick up his trumpet during a service.

Choir rehearses regularly on Sundays after church, 11:50 am. Sunday handbell rehearsal starting at 6:15 pm.

Ascension Lutheran Church has a love and passion for music and you can see that each service.

This page will not only feature our choir and handbell ringers, but it will also highlight performances, concerts, and more that occur around our area.

Alix Jenkins and Jim Phillips, coordinators of this event, are asking for the assistance of friends in the community in providing host homes for these young people, age 15 to 25.

Your basic responsibilities involve some transportation for your student guests to a rehearsal, concert, and any all-orchestra recreational activity that may be planned; host families will also be able to include these students in regular daily activities as you would any out-of-town visitors.
